William Shakespeare Basin Lake Theatre Project is excited to bring the Bard's Scottish tragedy to the historic Elks Theatre in Prescott, October 17-20, 2019. An exciting element of the performance will be the use of OP (original pronunciation) - an interpretation of the style of speech used by Shakespeare's actors at the time the play was written. The Fence
Original Production Written by Ered Matthew and directed by Julie Chavez Harrington; The Fence detailed in documentary style the stories behind a number of mementos left in honor of the nineteen Granite Mountain Hot Shots who perished in the Yarnell Hill Fire on June 30, 2013. Each cast member portrayed several different characters and explored the motivation behind the outpouring of grief from around the world for the loss of the firefighters. |

The Tolerance Project
Lessons from Laramie Part of Basin Lake Theatre Project's educational outreach. Directed by Julie Chavez Harrington with additional material by Ered Matthew. 9th grade Students from Northpoint Expeditionary Learning Academy in Prescott, Arizona, relate their personal experiences with bullying, discrimination, abuse and survival. The play was conceived and created following a two-day workshop, and debuted to sold-out audiences in the Black Box Theatre at Yavapai College Performing Arts Center, November 1-3, 2018. |
